Fees & rewards.
Where the yield comes from, how it is claimed, and the 3% protocol fee.
Your ladder earns the pool's trading fee on every swap that goes through a funded bin. Kurvo keeps 3% of those fees; your deposit is never charged.
You receive
$97.00
Protocol fee 3%
$3.00
Your deposit (the liquidity itself) is never charged. Closing a ladder returns 100% of the liquidity plus the fees, minus 3% of the fees only.
Where the yield comes from
Each Uniswap pool has a fee tier (for example 0.05%, 0.3%, 1%, or a custom V4 fee). Every swap pays it to the liquidity it uses, in proportion to that liquidity. Concentrated bins near the traded price capture a large share. See Uniswap: fees (opens in a new tab).
The protocol fee
| Action | Protocol fee |
|---|---|
| Claim fees | 3% of the fees collected |
| Close a ladder | 3% of the fees collected; 0% of the liquidity returned |
| Open a ladder | None |
The fee is hard-coded as PROTOCOL_FEE_BPS = 300 in both ladder managers and sent to the protocol treasury. It cannot be changed. Half of it is used to buy back and burn $KURV.
Pending fees
The ladder page and pendingFees(ladderId) show unclaimed fees net of the protocol fee, i.e. exactly what a claim would send you at that moment.

Claim or leave them
Unclaimed fees stay in Uniswap, owed to your positions; they do not compound into liquidity. Claim whenever you like, or let them be collected when you close.
